About Our Hotel
We are a small boutique style hotel with a simple goal; to make your stay in Manuel Antonio the best that it can be.
Our location could not be any better! We are just a few minutes walk from gorgeous Espadilla Beach, where you can swim, go boogie boarding, take a surf lesson, or just relax under a shady palm tree. Manuel Antonio National Park is just a few minutes walk in the other direction. This park is one of the best places in Costa Rica (and the world) to see countless species of rare and exotic wildlife including monkeys, sloths, toucans, parrots, and so much more! Additionally, there are over 10 restaurants within a short walk of La Vela, offering everything from affordable typical Costa Rican dishes to wonderful seafood and international cuisine.
Of course, you can't go home without souvenirs, and there are plenty of souvenir shops and boutiques in the immediate area.
La Vela Boutique Hotel has only 21 rooms, surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Our swimming pool is in the center of the beautiful property, with loungers and sun umbrellas and sitting areas all around. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind.
We often have more monkey visitors than guests! Our breakfast lounge area is here in the same area; the ideal place to start your day. Of course, a delicious and filling breakfast is included in your stay.

Our rooms are all thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, with your comfortable stay in mind.
All of our rooms are air-conditioned and have quality bedding and linens. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen cable TV, coffee machine, safe deposit box, and WiFi so you can stay connected. The bathrooms have a hairdryer and free toiletries.
While it's not really an amenity, we believe that one of the most important parts of your stay in a hotel starts with great service, and always with a smile. Our staff is carefully chosen for their upbeat attitude and charisma.
